Abstract

Given the fact that the passive suspension of the vehicle cannot adapt to the changing road excitation and replace conventional suspension with damping-adjustable semi-active suspension, based on the 1/4 vehicle model, sliding mode controllers are designed for two different error vectors respectively, and the simulation is carried out through Matlab/Simulink. The results show that the semi-active suspension controller can effectively improve the stability and safety of the vehicle when driving.
