Abstract

Pulmonary alveolar mierolithiasis (PAM) is known very early to be a rare slowly progressive lung disease,characterized by widespread deposition of calcium phosphate microliths within the alveolar airspaces. Etiology of PAM used to be unknown,mutation of the SLC34A2 gene in PAM patients is recently identified. This review summarized the progress study of SLC34A2 and PAM,in order to provide references for further researches in this field.
