Abstract
The increasing pace of the housing and industrial construction activity calls for a sharply increased output and improved quality of the finishing materials, in particular, ceramic tiles meant for different purposes. One of the practical problems of the ceramictile industry is to replace the scarce and costly fluxes with cheaper, easily available, and effective materials that would ensure sintering of the tiles under rapid drying and firing regimes. The slags of thermal electric power plants (TEP) (obtained by liquid slag removal) are among such materials used at the West-Ukrainian plants.
