Abstract

We investigate the deformations of 11− and 12+ isomers in neutron‐deficient Pb and Po isotopes within the Hartree‐Fock‐Bogolyubov approach using Skyrme interaction (Sly4) and density‐dependent pairing force. The effects of core polarization due to the breaking of the proton Z = 82 magic gap in light Pb isotopes are put into evidence and compared to recent experimental measurements of static quadrupole moments of intruder 11− isomers.
