Abstract

ABSTRACT This essay examines the production circumstances of intertextual relations, and discursive contexts of Abre los Ojos (1997) and its remake Vanilla Sky (2001). Seen in combination, these films demonstrate a struggle for cultural power in a transnational field and provide notably different representations of transnational identities.
