Abstract

The typical course and appearance of well-known skin diseases are somewhat altered in patients of advanced age. One of the most common skin disorders in these patients is senile pruritus. Other frequent disorders are neurotic excoriations, seborrheic dermatitis, decubitus ulcers, alopecia, and seborrheic keratosis. Among the most common malignancies in these patients are basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas.
