Abstract
Abstract SKIDLOG is a deterministic "what-if?" interactive computer simulation model designed to evaluate the potential performance of a 4-wheel-drive articulated log skidder under a variety of assumptions and constraints. The model considers the effect of tire size, soil strength, tree size and load geometry, slope, and skidder size, type, horsepower, and speed to determine the ability of a skidder to move a load of logs.
