Abstract

The material was collected during the summer of 1922 by Mr. Rodric Heffron of Chicago, to whom I am greatly indebted. One blood smear was made from each fish, air-dried and later stained with either Giemsa or Heidenhain's ironhematoxylin. The names and number of fishes examined are as follows: Carcharhinus obscurus, 1; Isurus dekayi (?), 1; Raia ocellata, 3; R. erinacea, 1; Acanthocottus aeneus, 2; Brevoortia tyrannus, 1; Chilomycterlus schoepfii, 5; Cyclopterlts
