Abstract
In this study, a hybrid renewable energy system is designed, scaled, and modeled for a remote town called Paradise River, located in the north of Labrador, Canada, to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and provide cheap and sustainable energy. The site's annual power consumption has been obtained by contacting related organizations. The system is sized, and the configuration is designed using the Homer Pro software, importing the available data and choosing suitable components. The cost of energy (COE) and net present cost (NPC) are $0.38 and $753,420(in CAD), respectively, according to the Homer Pro findings. The system's dynamic model is created in MATLAB Simulink at the conclusion of this research, and the simulation results are included and discussed in this paper.
