Size–weight characteristics of the late instar larvae of chironomids (Diptera, Chironomidae) in Lake Vishtynetskoye

Abstract

The extreme values of the body length, wet weight, and head capsule width, as well as the mean wet weights of the third and fourth instar larvae, are presented for 53 of the most widespread species and groups of chironomids in Lake Vishtynetskoye.
