Abstract

We derive, from a diagrammatic expansion, a new approximation for the correlation function of the dipolar hard sphere fluid which allows a reliable investigation of the dielectric constant 𝛆. An important improvement over the LHNC and QHNC results, which overestimate 𝛆, is obtained. We find that 𝛆 depends strongly on the size of the particles when both the density and the dipole moment are kept constant.
