Abstract

The influence of the size effect in photoluminescence on two-photon absorption in the course of reradiation in undoped graded-gap AlxGa1−xAs solid solutions was studied. It is shown that the efficiency of two-photon absorption increases as the extent of the crystal region under excitation increases. The factors affecting the ratio between the contributions of the frequency-and polarization-related components of probability for two-photon absorption to its spectral dependence were determined.
