Sir, In their Letter to the Editor, Kitazawa and Kansaku responded to our meta-analysis on sex differences in language lateralization measured with functional imaging techniques (Sommer et al ., 2004). Though Kitazawa and Kansaku gave an interesting interpretation of the data, we do not agree with the alternative calculation of the effect sizes of two studies they suggested.
