Abstract

Well-stable dendrimer-protected gold nanoparticles were synthesized by microwave radiation of a third-generation poly(propyleneimine) dendrimer (PPI G3)–HAuCl4 aqueous solution without the additional step of introducing other reducing agents and protective agents. The size of these gold nanoparticles thus formed can be controlled by molar ratio of dendrimer to gold.
