Abstract
A theory of the Fabry–Perot acoustic resonance in a thin slab of the easy-plane weak ferromagnet FeBO3 is developed. It is shown that the frequency shift of the resonance peaks observed upon a change of magnetic field can be explained in the framework of a previously developed theory of magnetic linear acoustical birefringence in the iron borate crystal when the experimental boundary conditions are taken into account.
