Abstract

Over the past decade or so, pervaporation has progressed from a novel research topic to a commercially viable technology for certain separation applications, with a bright future as long as one or two economic challenges are met. That is the broad conclusion from the 'Sixth International Conference on Pervaporation in the Chemical Industry', organized by Bakish Material Corporation and held in Ottawa, Canada, 27–30 September, 1992.
