Abstract

Bretschneidera sinensis is a Tertiary relict tree. Here we isolated 16 codominant compound microsatellite markers from B. sinensis using an improved technique. Overall, the number of alleles ranged from 3 to 10, with an average of 5.81 alleles per locus. These markers would be the useful tools for analysing questions concerning population genetic structure and genetic diversity of B. sinensis.
