Abstract

We present simulated SIXA spectra of the hottest known cluster of galaxies Abell2163. SIXA is an array of solid state detectors located in the focal plane of one ofthe two SODART telescopes onboard SPECTRUM-RÖNTGEN-GAMMA. Wehereby demonstrate the capabilities of SIXA to perform spatially resolved spectroscopyof hot clusters. In a 30 ksec exposure, the temperature of the hot gascan be reliably derived from the central pixel as well as in the 2nd and 3rd pixelrings whereas the iron abundance can be determined in the central pixel and the2nd pixel ring. SIXA will thus significantly improve current temperature andabundance measurements of the hot gas in clusters.
