Abstract

Alexandr Mulear - one of the prominent and profoundly original personalities of the local music culture, has been prodigiously active over the years in the field of musical creation, leaving a portfolio that abounds in notable works, substantially contributing to the enrichment of the interpretive repertoire. The genres approached by the composer are diverse and extend over a vast compositional area. However, a major proportion of the highlighted works are instrumental works with cyclical forms. Six Miniatures for Violin and Piano is one of the works that marks the stage of the master’s interest in compositional experimentation. In this article, we propose some keys for decoding the form, language, compositional aspects, reception and valorization of A. Mulear’s music through the prism of the analyzed work.
