Abstract
Six Children is a book by a school psychiatrist who, in spite of rather extensive experience, has retained a very limited understanding and a rigid outlook concerning the emotional and psychological problems of children. She divides the problems she has encountered into six categories exemplified by the Six Children in the title: 1. The quick-thinking child. 2. The slow-thinking child. 3. The child whose brain has been injured. 4. The child maladjusted emotionally. 5. The child of unusual cultural background. 6. The child of unusual training.
