Abstract
Farmer is an essential part of modern agriculture development and new countryside construct. The rural vocational education and training plays an important role in cultivating farmers’ capabilities such as “knowledge, technology and management skill”. Based on the investigation on the farmers engaged in agricultural production in rural areas in Ningbo, this paper makes a situational analysis on rural vocational education and training for modern peasants, and finally relative countermeasures are suggested to further develop rural vocational education and training, that is, the vocational education in rural areas should be positioned to meet the real demands of modern farmers.
