Abstract

Two site testing campaigns for astronomical observations at mid-IR wavelengths have been carried out in Antarctica in the last two southern summer seasons. Analysis of IR sky-noise is carried out in the framework of the project of a telescope to be installed at Dome C, on Antarctic Plateau. A description of the experimental apparatus and some preliminary results are presented in this work. Future plans are also discussed.
