Abstract

The Pakem community organization (death charity association) started from a habit. Then it became an activity under the auspices of an organization, which manages contribution funds from community members and then distributes them back to community members to reduce the burden on disaster experts in handling corpses. This activity concerns community funds, so a governance system is needed to manage death funds. This research aims to improve the financial management system of death charities in death organizations to assist the administrators of Pakem activities in their implementation. The qualitative descriptive method is used, where the research processes information through observation, interview, document, and triangulation techniques. The research results show that the previously implemented governance system was still manual and unaccountable, making it difficult to account for administratively. It is necessary to implement the development of a financial management system for charity death funds so that activities are carried out systematically and in accordance with the organization’s objectives
