Abstract

A campus is defined as a learning institution that aims to educate its students to have abilities both academically and non-academically. Every student has the right to develop their potential through internal and external organizations. In particular, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo is a campus with 13 UKM (Student Activity Units) as student organizations than can be used as a forum for student to learn and develop their talents. The research aimed to determine the final results of decision-making through the TOPSIS and the Electre methods during the election process of the prospective chairman of UKM, and to determine the effective method applicable in this case. In accordance with the research finding, it was identified that the decision support systems in the election of the prospective chairman of UKM Kristen Oikumene (Student Activity Unit for Christian Students) at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo by applying the Electre and the TOPSIS methods indicated different final results for a decision.
