Abstract

This article aims to reveal how Ibn Khaldun thinks about education, which indirectly gives an idea of the ideal Islamic education system according to him. Not only that, the researcher will try to describe how much his thoughts have implications for the current style of Islamic education in Indonesia. The method used in this article is descriptive qualitative analysis, through a literature study of previous research documents and texts, it was found that the ideal education system according to Ibn Khaldun has enormous implications for the current style of Islamic education, as can be seen from his thoughts on the original language, curriculum, educator criteria, and other things that have a lot of conformity with the implementation and the Islamic Education Law in Indonesia.
