Abstract
This paper discusses the mudaraba theory and mudaraba system application by Mandiri Islamic Bank Branch Palu . From this study it was found that the application of mudaraba system in Mandiri Islamic Bank Branch Palu has not been fully adhered purely in accordance with the theoretical foundation of mudaraba system as suggested by experts, despite the commitment of Mandiri Islamic Bank Branch Palu.to customers has increased significantly. Although the presence of Islamic banking is considered as an answer to the problem of bank interest that is considered usury, recent developments seem to indicate that Islamic ban king is not just about the rejection of the bank interest. Islamic banking is also considered and is expected to answer the question of inequality of banking intermediation role that has been played predominantly by conventional banks. A variety of evidences suggests that the reality of economic inequality among people, among others, is due to the minor access of the middle to the lower society, to conventional bank financing. Thus, it is reasonable if the presence of Islamic banking is seen as an alternative institution that is expected to break through the impasse access. It is natural if the presence of Islamic banking is greeted with enthusiasm and optimism by the middle to lower society. Justice aspect as the core of Islamic economics is the most impor tant cornerstone for the creation of a fair economy nationally. Mandiri Islamic Bank, a state-owned bank was the first Bank to introduce a system of sharia. In its course, this red plate bank applied one system of cooperation with customers called mudaraba.
