Abstract
After two years of intense work, my period as President of SIS ended up on the last December 31th, 2012. I feel extremely honored to have had this opportunity and I hope that my board and I have left a positive legacy for our society. I would like to take this opportunity to express here my gratitude to some people, whose collaboration and partnership were fundamental to the conduction of my work ahead of SIS: Mauricio Magalhaes Costa (Member of the SIS Presidential Ad Hoc Advisory Committee and Editorial Director of SIS Journal), Ruben Orda (Chairman of International School of Senology), Carlos Vazquez (Past President of SIS), Carlos Garbino (Executive Director of SIS) and Tadeusz Pienkowsky (Current President of SIS). I am absolutely sure that without their help, I would not get this moment with a clear sense of accomplishment.
