Abstract

The Polycrystalline ceramic samples of Ba(Nd0.05Ti0.9Nb0.05)O3 were prepared by solid state double sintering route at two different temperatures i.e. at 1500°C & 1550°C. Dielectric and modulus resonance and anti-resonance studies were carried out on these prepared ceramic samples. Good DPT and relaxor behaviour was observed for the sample sintered at higher temperature. Both the samples sintered at different temperatures shows around 99% electromechanical energy conversions. It is also observed that the piezoelectric charge constant for the ceramic sample sintered at higher temperature (1550°C) are higher when compared to ceramic sample sintered at lower temperature (1500°C). The piezoelectric charge constant for the samples sintered at 1500°C & 1550°C are 6.87 nm.V−1 & 10.51 nm.V−1 respectively at 798K.
