She engages critically with the assumption that music can step in where language fails. She then examines what often appears to be a random use of psychoanalytical concepts in current music therapy literature and draws comparisons with her own clinical experience based on the psychoanalytical concept of traumatising transference. The article concludes with a call to relate and conceptually communicate the concept of psychological traumatising, reflection on relationship development and the role of music Previous article Next article FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited byFeinfühligkeit im therapeutischen Handeln in der MusiktherapieIngrid Erhardt5 December 2014 | Musiktherapeutische Umschau, Vol. 35, No. 3 Download book coverVolume 35Issue 2June 2014 ISSN: 0172-5505eISSN: 2196-8764HistoryPublished online:January 2015 KeywordsMusic as a containerconcept of psychological traumatisingtraumatising transferencesymbol theoryPDF download
