Abstract

In this article, two types of transformation are applied to gain three interesting singular potential functions of the variable coefficient nonlinear Schrodinger (VCNLS) equation. Meanwhile, the corresponding concrete expressions of the VCNLS equation are obtained. Through making application of the known soliton solutions of the standard nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS) equation and the two types of transformation, three singular solutions of the VCNLS equations are obtained. The singular solutions in this paper have some similarities with rogue wave and nonautonomous soliton solution.
