Abstract
A general model for an intersection of two electronic states dependent on one nuclear coordinate is considered. A perturbational series expansion resulting from the inclusion of the nonadiabatic coupling starting from the Born-Oppenheimer approximation in zeroth order is set up. It is proven that the series has a finite radius of convergence and that it can be summed up exactly.
