Abstract

Singly-fed 45 ° slant-polarized (SP) omnidirectional antennas without complex feed network are proposed in this letter. The antennas consist of a feeding probe that radiates monopolar omnidirectional vertically polarized (VP) fields and parasitic metallic/dielectric parallelepiped elements that convert omnidirectional VP fields into 45 ° SP fields. Two prototypes with metallic and dielectric parallelepipeds operating in C-band were designed. The bandwidths of the SP metallic and dielectric antennas are given by 15.1% and 31.9%, respectively.
