Abstract

AbstractIntrinsic viscosities of benzene solutions of fresh, naturally, and artificially aged Svitprene K polychloroprene and their fractions were calculated by using Hart's method for the single‐point determination of intrinsic viscosities. It was found that this quick method was sufficiently precise for Svitprene K. In most cases the deviations of the calculated values from those obtained by extrapolation according to the equation of Schulz and Blaschke were lower than 1% of intrinsic viscosity.
