Abstract
This paper demonstrates a voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter employing a voltage differencing buffered amplifier (VDBA), one resistor and two capacitors. The proposed filter design has the ability of realizing all the five standard biquadratic filter functions i.e. band pass, high pass, low pass, band reject and all pass without changing the circuit topology. The proposed design of the same offers many benefits like; no requirement(s) of component(s) matching, low active and passive sensitivities. The theoretical analysis has been verified by the PSPICE simulation using 0.18μm Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) process technology.
