Abstract

Single-pixel imaging (SPI) is a popular imaging method that uses only one-dimensional light intensity values to recover an image of an object. It has many applications, such as three-dimensional imaging, multispectral imaging, and terahertz imaging. However, there has been little research on single-pixel panoramic inspection of objects. Here, we propose a mirror-assisted panoramic SPI (MPSPI) method for object inspection, which expands the field of view of ordinary SPI. This system has the advantages of automatic projection synchronization, low cost, and easy operation. This method should pave the way for the use of SPI-based systems to perform panoramic object inspection.
