Abstract

We have measured a six junction turnstile in order to investigate whether it can be used as a current standard. Clear current plateaus at a few picoamps are observed. In order to measure the very small current to better than 10 ppm, a capacitor is charged to generate a voltage that can be measured very accurately. Because of the extremely low input current we intend to use a SET transistor as a first amplification step.
