Abstract

The evolution of charging energies of few-electron artifical atoms (quantum dots) with magnetic field is calculated and compared with results of the single-electron capacitance spectroscopy of Ashoori et al. The evidence for magnetic field induced spin and angular momentum transitions in the strongly interacting artifical atom is presented.
