Abstract
Single crystals of SnSe were prepared by the Bridgeman technique. The samples were analysed by electron diffraction techniques and confirmed to be single crystals. The lattice constants are found to be a 0 = 4.30 A ̊ , b 0 = 4.05 A ̊ , and c 0 = 11.62 A ̊ . Subsequent electrical characterization measurements indicated that the specimens are of p type with carrier concentration in the range 10 16–10 17 cm -3.
