Abstract

Carbon-based heteroatom-coordinated single metal site catalysts are promising candidates for energy-conversion related electrocatalysts. In article number 1902844, Yi Mei, Gang Wu and co-workers provide a comprehensive understanding of engineering coordination environments and local carbon structures of single metal site catalysts to enhance their catalytic performance for a variety of important electrochemical reactions, which are crucial for current clean energy technologies including fuel cells, water electrolyzers, and electrosynthesis.
