Abstract
Aim: Obesity is a major risk factor for the metabolic syndrome (MetS), but some obese individuals do not have the MetS while others have the MetS but are non-obese. We investigated the single and joint effects of obesity and of the MetS on diabetes incidence in patients with angiographically proven coronary artery disease (CAD).
