Abstract
Herein, a boron-containing soft magnetic alloy (Al1.5Co4Fe2Cr)98.8B1.2 was fabricated. Compared to the boron-free alloy Al1.5Co4Fe2Cr, the boron-containing alloy exhibited an excellent combination of soft magnetic properties with tailored mechanical properties, with 1.6-fold increment in yield strength, 3.8-fold increment in plasticity, and minimal decrement in saturation magnetization.
