Abstract

The topic of this paper is the simultaneous transmission of selected data services and a sensory signal over one single mode optical fiber. The simultaneous transmission of multiple optical signals by a single optical fiber was realized using a dense wavelength division multiplex (DWDM). Data signals of 10, 100, and 200Gbps and a time signal were selected for co-transmission. The sensor signal was realized by a high-power pulse signal. The main purpose of this paper is the problem of sufficient width of the DWDM transmission channel and sufficient distance between individual transmission channels and possible occurrence of nonlinear phenomena. In particular, the effect of possible mutual interference of individual transmission channels at 50GHz spacing between individual signals was analyzed.
