Abstract
Transcription in eukaryotic cells is precisely regulated by the interaction between the transcription machinery and highly organized chromatin structures in the nucleus. Recent superresolution imaging techniques, such as single-molecule localization microscopy, have helped in visualization of the organization of nanometer-sized chromatin, including nanodomains, clutches, and filamentous components. However, how transcriptional molecules interact dynamically with these nanoscale chromatin structures in living cells is still unclear.
