Abstract

A novel interferometric technique using a femtosecond optical frequency comb (FOFC) is developed to simultaneously observe the high temporal coherence between two pairs of pulse trains with different relative delays. The average temperature change over 3 m was measured as a special demonstration that applied the proposed technique. This technique can be used for not only surface profilometry and tomography, but also measurement of environmental conditions.
