Abstract

A two-stage aging, involving initial low-temperature treatment followed by high-temperature treatment, was employed to induce a high number density M2C and inhibit the occurrence of chemical ordering and formation of large ellipsoidal particles at grain boundaries. The ultimate tensile strength, yield strength and Charpy impact energy increase by 233 MPa, 191 MPa and 3.3 J, respectively.
