Abstract

Analytical approaches to the simultaneous estimate of the elastic modulus E′ as a measure for elasticity and the true hardness H as a measure for plasticity are discussed on the basis of a simple elastoplastic model. Two different analytical methods, Method I and Method II, are examined. The elastic modulus E′ and the true hardness H thus estimated in Methods I and II are well correlated to the values reported in the literature.
