Abstract

A method is described for the simultaneous determinations of strontium and barium in rock samples by neutron activation analysis with a Ge(Li) detector after chemical group-separation. The re-activation technique was employed to obtain the chemical yields for both elements without any additional chemical treatment. The values obtained for several geochemical standard rocks (G-1, W-1, G-2, GSP-1,AGV-I and BCR-1) are in reasonable agreement with previously published data.
