Abstract

Oxygen and mercury in inorganic and organic mercury compounds are determined simultaneously by a modification of the Schütze—Unterzaucher method. The determination of mercury is not influenced by the presence of sulphur and nitrogen in the samples. In 13 inorganic and organic mercury compounds, oxygen has been determined with an error of less than 0.4% and mercury with an error of less than 0.5%.
