Abstract

Carpometacarpal joint dislocations (isolated and multiple) are uncommon hand injuries occurring in less than 1% of osseous hand injuries. Despite this, unilateral dislocations, with and without associated injuries, have been well-documented in the medical literature. We report the first case of bilateral third to fifth CMC joint dislocations occurring simultaneously in a 20-year-old boxer during a training session.
