Abstract

Abstract This paper describes a simulator of a flow-type production line that manufactures a variety of parts. This simulator includes the genetic algorithm system and decides the buffer capacity between each machine tool. In this paper, the algorithm for the production simulator including genetic algorithm system and the rules for moving parts are proposed. The simulator is applied for a flexible automation line such as a production line for automotive parts.
